New head of Customs Service appointed today
Radu Vrabie has been appointed as the new director of the Customs Service. The decision was made today by the Government.
The project was presented by Minister of Finance Andrian Gavriliță. “Radu Vrabie is a professional with nearly 20 years of experience, holding managerial positions in the private sector and international development programs,” stated the minister.
The new chief was appointed after Alexandru Iacub, who held this position until now, announced on the evening of Tuesday, November 4, that he had submitted his resignation. His request was accepted today by the Executive.
Minister of Finance Andrian Gavrilița thanked Alexandru Iacub for his service: “An important team member, he will remain with the team, transitioning to another important role, and will continue to support us,” stated Andrian Gavrilița.
At the same time, Alexandru Iacub was appointed as Deputy Secretary-General of the Government. “Alexandru Iacub is an accomplished professional. I am glad he is joining the Chancellery team. Let's contribute to these very important reforms,” stated Secretary-General of the Government Alexei Buzu.
