Estonia opens Embassy in Moldova
Estonia will open an embassy in the Republic of Moldova. The decision made by the government in Tallinn was announced today during a phone conversation between Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi and his Estonian counterpart Margus Tsahkna.
“A very good news for our country! This step by the Estonian authorities shows how strong the relations between our countries are and the support for the Republic of Moldova on its path to the European Union,” Popșoi said.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Popșoi thanked the Estonian government for the initiative and reiterated Moldova’s interest in continuing to strengthen political dialogue, trade-economic cooperation, and collaboration in education, digitalization and culture.
Estonia remains an important partner of the Republic of Moldova, providing support in various domains, especially in e-governance, cybersecurity and education.
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Estonia were established on 10 November 1992.
