
European Parliament to vote 1.9-billion-euros-worth financial package for Moldova this week
The European Parliament this week is to give its final vote on the Reform and Growth Facility for Moldova – a financial package worth 1.9 billion euros. The president of the European Parliament’s Delegation for Moldova, Siegfried Muresan, has made statements to this effect.
According to the quoted source, after the decision’s publication in the European Union’s Official Journal, the funds will become officially available and the first payments are expected as early as in next April.
This financing is meant to back the reforms and the economic development of Moldova, in the context of its European integration path.
