Japanese Ambassador in Chisinau ends mandate; Moldova's foreign affairs minister says country grateful for Japan's constant support
Japanese Ambassador in Chisinau Yamada Yoichiro has concluded his mandate in f Moldova. On this occasion, Foreign Affairs Minister Mihai Popsoi expressed appreciation for the ambassador's remarkable contribution to the development of Moldovan-Japanese relations and for Japan's constant support in modernizing Moldova.
The deputy PM highlighted the important projects carried out with Japanese assistance in the fields of health, agriculture, education, crisis management and infrastructure’s modernization, which have provided tangible benefits to the citizens.
‘’Thank you for your involvement. The efforts made are reflected in numerous projects that have improved people's lives. We are grateful for Japan's constant support and for your commitment to the development of our country,’’ said Minister Mihai Popsoi.
For his part, Ambassador Yamada thanked for the good cooperation and appreciated the transformations taking place in Moldova, in the context of the European path. The ambassador reiterated Japan's commitment to continue supporting Moldova, even after the end of his mandate.
‘’I am confident that Moldova will have a nice journey. Wherever I may be, I will remain a bridge between Chisinau and Tokyo and will continue to promote this excellent cooperation.’’
Minister Mihai Popsoi wished Ambassador Yamada success in his new projects and emphasized that ‘’the doors of our country will always remain open to him.’’ He noted that Moldova would always consider him a friend.
