Moldovan, Armenian officials approach EU accession process, diaspora relations
The EU accession process and diaspora ties were on the discussion agenda during a meeting held today between Speaker Igor Grosu and Zareh Sinanyan, High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
During the meeting, the officials shared experiences and best practices, particularly concerning the European Union accession process, a common goal for both Moldova and Armenia.
“I am glad that we manage to maintain a very good collaboration with Armenia and have a lot to learn from this partnership. The connection with the diaspora is essential, and we need to provide concrete facilities for those who wish to return home,” stated Igor Grosu.
The meeting emphasizes the commitment of both states to strengthen bilateral cooperation, both politically and economically, as well as through the active involvement of diaspora communities.
