Moldovan parliament's standing bureau approves agenda for upcoming plenary meetings
The parliament’s standing bureau today approved the agenda of the plenary meetings due to be held during December 12-19, 2025.
Thus, MPs will examine, in the first reading, the draft laws of the state budget, the social security budget, and the mandatory health assistance insurance funds for the year 2026. At the same time, the lawmakers will consider draft laws regarding the granting of import duty exemptions for Diaspora citizens returning to Moldova. Other legislative initiatives to be approved in the first reading concern the optimization of procedures for issuing permissive acts, adjusting the regulatory framework in the field of commercial secrets’ protection, as well as amending normative acts related to the fiscal domain.
At the next plenary sessions, the deputies will adopt, in the second reading, the draft laws on the organization and conduct of public events, volunteer activity, state control in the field of labor relations, occupational safety and health, soil use, conservation and protection, as well as establishing the European passport for firearms.
The legislature is set to ratify the Agreement between Moldova and the European Union on participation in the Creative Europe Programme, aimed at cultural and creative sectors. Also, the MPs will examine draft laws on Moldova’s accession to the Protocol concerning the carriage of passengers and their luggage by sea, accession to the international convention on civil liability for oil pollution damage from shipborne oil, as well as accession to the second Protocol to the Hague Convention of 1954 for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict.
Additionally, the agenda includes draft laws regarding the denunciation of three agreements with the Commonwealth of Independent States.
On December 12, the plenary meeting will start at 10:00.
