Moldovan Prime Minister at first cabinet meeting

Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu welcomed the decision announced on 4 November in Brussels, which highlighted the progress made by our country in its European path. The Prime Minister also stated that his team 'has a lot to do', and the governmental team will strive for our country to make even greater progress on the path of reforms.

'I must congratulate all of you present because you have contributed to our process of joining the European Union, you are part of civil society, and you ensure transparency and access to information, which is part of European freedoms. So, this is very good news, and I am proud and happy that we can start the first Government meeting with this wonderful news from Brussels about the progress our country, the Republic of Moldova, has made under very complicated conditions. Despite cyber attacks and subversions, we managed to implement reforms and advance in our European journey very quickly,' said the Prime Minister before the Government meeting.

Munteanu thanked the team led by Dorin Recean for their work and efforts and emphasized that all initiated activities must continue to achieve progress on the path of reforms.

'I want to thank all the colleagues who worked towards the progress made, and I refer to the ministers who were part of the Recean government. But we have a lot to do. We must do more, work more, and we will work 24/7 to make even greater progress,' stated Alexandru Munteanu.

The Government of the Republic of Moldova, led by Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, was sworn in on October 31, 2025, and on November 1, 2025, the members of the Cabinet of Ministers took the oath.
