Agreement signed in Chisinau: Young citizens of France, European Economic Area to be able to undertake professional internships at enterprises of Moldova
Young French and European Economic Area (EEA) citizens will be able to undertake professional internships at enterprises of Moldova. Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi and Ambassador of France to Moldova Dominique Waag signed the Agreement on the programme, Volontariat International en Entreprise (V.I.E.) on November 20.
With the signing of the agreement, young French and EEA citizens will have the opportunity to gain practical experience, become familiar with the local economic environment and contribute to boosting cooperation between the two states.
Mihai Popsoi highlighted the importance of signing this agreement, especially for young professionals.
“We are advancing in implementing concrete initiatives, including programmes dedicated to young professionals, which strengthen our excellent relationship with France,” the official said.
The discussions also addressed the developments in bilateral cooperation, France's support for the European path of Moldova and the regional security situation.
Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi thanked France for its constant support in key areas, such as defense, security, economy, education and culture. In this regard, the sides appreciated the work of the French Development Agency, which provides financial assistance in priority sectors for Moldova's economy.
At the same time, the officials reaffirmed their interest in expanding economic and sectoral cooperation, including through new joint projects, and highlighted the positive dynamics of the dialogue between the two states.
