Anti-Corruption Prosecutor passed external evaluation

The evaluation commission for prosecutors has completed the external examination regarding Prosecutor Anatolie Ciuleacu from the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, concluding that he meets the ethical and financial integrity criteria established by law. The commission members forwarded the report to the Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP), recommending the acceptance of the evaluation.

During the procedure, the Commission analyzed information from a wide range of sources—from public institutions and financial-banking organizations to open resources. To clarify certain discrepancies identified during the verification process, the prosecutor was asked three sets of written questions. Ciuleacu also participated in a public hearing, held on November 7, 2025.

The CSP is expected to issue a decision within 30 days regarding the report. According to the procedure, the document will become public after the legal period in which it can be contested expires.

Overall, the Commission has 191 prosecutors undergoing external evaluation. 50 evaluations have already been completed, 29 prosecutors have exited the procedure through resignation or exclusion, and 112 cases are still under analysis.
