ASP launches new electronic service for economic agents engaged in tourist accommodation
The Public Services Agency (ASP) is launching a new electronic service for submitting applications for the issuance of the Certificate of classification of tourist reception structures online. The procedure is carried out via the Electronic Services Development Platform.
The electronic service for requesting the Certificate will be implemented based on an online application submitted by the company's administrator. This service can be accessed at http://www.servicii.gov.md and is free of charge.
“At the application submission stage, the applicant will authenticate through the MPass service as the company administrator, attach the necessary set of documents, and sign the application with an electronic signature. Upon submission of the application, there is an option to order the delivery of the certificate directly to the specified address through the MDelivery service. The entire process – from application to receiving the certificate – takes place online, eliminating the need to visit ASP subdivisions, thus saving time for economic agents,” ASP stated.
More information about using the electronic service can be accessed on the Public Services portal or ASP's website by accessing the Applicant's Guide.
ASP is authorized with the function of classifying tourist reception structures. After examining the application and the attached documentation, it verifies the fulfillment of minimum classification criteria on-site, in the presence of the structure's representative, and prepares a verification note.
Classification of tourist reception structures with accommodation functions is done by awarding stars, depending on their type, constructive features, equipment, and the minimum quality of the services provided. Thus, a classified tourist reception structure holds a higher degree of credibility among tourists, automatically presuming the observance of mandatory minimum criteria.
