Changes in courts: Chișinău Court likely to have anti-corruption panel
Chișinău Court will have a specialized anti-corruption panel, and at Central Court of Appeal, specialized panels for examining corruption cases will be established. Members of the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) and representatives from the Justice Digitization and Judicial Administration Agency approached the issues.
The meeting took place in the context of the implementation of Law No. 192/2025, which establishes a distinct mechanism for judging corruption and related cases. The normative act, which came into force this year, provides for major reorganizations within the judicial system.
According to the CSM, one of the main changes involves the creation of the specialized anti-corruption panel within the Chișinău Court, as well as the formation of specialized anti-corruption panels at the Central Court of Appeal.
The project also includes the development of specialized registers and statistical reports, so that data regarding corruption cases can be monitored more efficiently.
Representatives of the institutions emphasized the need for the rapid implementation of technical changes, considering the direct impact on the organization of courts and the functioning of the entire anti-corruption mechanism.
The CSM states that it is committed to continuing the modernization of the judicial system and strengthening digital tools, considering digitization a key element for efficient and transparent justice.
