Crossing Tudora-Starokazacie border point to Belgorod-Dnestrovsk permitted for all travelers

The crossing of the Tudora-Starokazacie Border Crossing Point (BCP) towards Belgorod-Dnestrovsk, Ukraine, is permitted for all travelers without restrictions. Meanwhile, in the direction of the Odessa region, the crossing is authorized only for Ukrainian citizens and vehicles weighing up to 7 tons.

According to the Border Police, through the Palanca-Maiaki-Udobnoe BCP, the exit from Moldova is allowed only for Ukrainian citizens traveling to Odessa and vehicles weighing up to 7 tons.

The Border Police recommend citizens to refrain from traveling in this direction.

The border crossing points with Ukraine – Palanca-Maiaki-Udobnoe and Tudora-Starokazacie – on December 19 were closed after drones with explosive charges had hit the bridge over the Dniester, located outside the locality of Maiaki-Udobnoe in Ukraine.

On December 19 morning, the border authority announced that crossing the Maiaki-Udobnoe bridge had been suspended following a new drone attack. Subsequently, traffic on the bridge was partially resumed, allowing crossing for all types of vehicles, except trucks. A few hours later, crossing the Maiaki-Udobnoe bridge was suspended again after another drone attack.

Under these conditions, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), in collaboration with UNHCR, provided accommodation for Ukrainian citizens whose travel to Ukraine was limited due to the bombings of the bridge over the Dniester. IGSU operationalized a mobile camp in the locality of Palanca, in order to support those who chose to wait to cross the border on the exit side to Ukraine through the Palanca and Tudora crossing points.
