
False alarm at Chisinau Airport; Terminal resumes work
Checks carried out by specialized teams have showed that the security alert reported at the Eugen Doga International Airport in Chisinau was not confirmed. After a detailed examination, authorities established that the suspected luggage contained no explosive substances.
According to the Border Police, the inspections have been completed and the airport's activity has resumed normally. Passengers and airport staff can continue their activities and flights are made according to the usual schedule.
The Border Police, along with responsible security structures, informed that they would continue to implement preventive measures, in order to avoid any situation that could affect the citizens' safety and state security.
The incident occurred this morning, when a suspicious bag was discovered on the Airport's premises, leading to the temporary evacuation of passengers and suspension of registration procedures.
