Families of Moldovan diplomats deployed to Kingdom of the Netherlands to be able to work
The families of members of the diplomatic and consular missions of the Republic of Moldova in the Kingdom of the Netherlands will be able to engage in remunerated activities, according to an agreement that is to be ratified by Parliament. The measure applies to both Moldovan citizens and Dutch citizens in the Republic of Moldova in the same context.
The agreement allows spouses and, in certain cases, children dependent on diplomatic, administrative, and technical staff to find employment in the state where they are deployed.
Currently, the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Moldova in the Kingdom of the Netherlands includes four diplomats and one member of the administrative-technical staff, each with the right to be accompanied by family.
The Republic of Moldova has signed similar treaties with 11 countries, including Romania, the United States of America, France, Germany, and Poland, and is negotiating agreements in this regard with India and Spain.
