Direct flights to be operated between Chișinău and Vilnius as of 1 April

As of 1 April, direct flights will be operated between Chișinău and Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi made the statement today during a press conference held together with his Lithuanian counterpart, Kęstutis Budrys, who is on a visit to Chișinău.

“I am pleased to announce that from 1 April, direct flights will be operated between Chișinău and Vilnius, an important step in facilitating economic, social and tourism contacts,” stated Popșoi.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Kęstutis Budrys is paying a working visit to the Republic of Moldova on 6 February 2026.

The visit aims is to strengthen Moldovan-Lithuanian bilateral relations, deepen political dialogue and reaffirm the support of the Republic of Lithuania for the European path of the Republic of Moldova, including in the context of regional and security developments.
