Japan to provide 21 million lei grant for modernization of Teleradio-Moldova Company

Japan will provide Teleradio-Moldova company with a grant of 21 million lei. The funds are intended for the purchase of modern production and broadcasting equipment. The Foreign Policy Committee approved, on Wednesday, November 26, the advisory opinion for initiating the negotiations of the grant agreement between the Governments of the Republic of Moldova and Japan.

According to the project authors, the financial resources provided will contribute to improving the quality of public media services, as well as strengthening the technical and professional capacities of the national television employees. Additionally, the aim is to align production processes with international technological standards, considering the urgent need to modernize the technical infrastructure of the public radio and television company.

After negotiation and signing, the Grant Agreement will be submitted for ratification in the plenary session of Parliament.
