Moldova and China strengthen educational cooperation
Moldova and China are strengthening cooperation in education, offering new opportunities for students, educators, and educational institutions in both countries. An agreement to this effect was signed in Beijing by Minister Dan Perciun, who was on an official visit to China.
The signed agreement provides for cooperation in teaching the Chinese language in general education institutions in Moldova. The Chinese side will support the development of curriculum and educational resources for teaching the Chinese language, as well as the training of educators through dedicated programs.
Furthermore, higher education institutions in Moldova will be able to create specialized programs in the Chinese language, with the support of academic institutions from China. The document also includes the provision of scholarships for undergraduate and master's studies in teaching Chinese as an international language, as well as examining the possibility of recognizing the international CTCSOL certificate.
Additionally, Moldova will assist in organizing the HSK Chinese language proficiency test, and both parties will collaborate to ensure the quality of the teaching process and promote cultural and academic exchanges, including the participation of Moldovan students in the "Chinese Bridge" competition, as well as summer and winter camps in China.
Perciun reiterated Moldova's interest in intensifying the partnership, especially in higher education, through exchange of experiences, joint initiatives, and educational projects in areas such as agriculture, information technology, and other strategic areas. The minister also mentioned that one of the Ministry's priorities is internationalization, with Moldova being open to offering Chinese students study opportunities in the country's higher education institutions.
