Moldova's Embassy in Minsk suspends reception of applications for citizenship
The Embassy of Moldova in Belarus announces that, starting from December 23, 2025, it will suspend the reception of Moldovan citizenship applications for indefinite period.
According to official information, this measure is adopted in the context of changes to national citizenship legislation, including the enactment of Law No. 253 from July 10, 2025, concerning Moldovan citizenship, as well as the repeal of Law No. 1024 from June 2, 2000.
Representatives of the diplomatic mission specify that consular services related to citizenship will be resumed later, and the public will be informed in advance about the resumption of applications’ reception.
