Moldova to provide batch of humanitarian aid to Ukraine
The Republic of Moldova will provide a new batch of humanitarian aid to Ukraine. A decision in this regard was approved today by the Government.
State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Alexandru Bejan said at the cabinet meeting that the provision of the humanitarian aid batch comes in response to official requests transmitted through diplomatic channels, in the context of the social and energy crisis caused by the war.
The batch includes energy- and health-related goods, cables, conductors, equipment and medical supplies, released from the state reserve and from the management of several subdivisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as from the property of a joint-stock company.
“These goods are already available and can be quickly put to use to save lives and ensure the functioning of essential services in Ukraine. By approving this decision, we reiterate strong messages of solidarity, support, and humanitarian commitment for the benefit of regional stability,” underlined Alexandru Bejan.
The official noted that the project is designed so as not to affect the state’s strategic reserves.
