Moldovan Foreign Affairs Ministry condemns overflight of Moldova’s airspace by Shahed drone
A Shahed-type drone today morning violated the airspace of Moldova. The Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) firmly condemns the overflight of the airspace and describes the incident as a serious violation of territorial integrity.
According to the MAE, such incidents represent a serious violation of the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“The Ministry also condemns the war of aggression waged by the Russian Federation against Ukraine, which is causing losses, destruction and suffering in Ukraine and affecting regional security, directly endangering the safety of Moldova’s citizens,” the institution’s press release reads.
The MAE emphasizes that Moldova reaffirms its commitment to strengthening peace and national security and will continue all necessary actions, in cooperation with the competent national institutions and international partners, to protect its territory and population.
