A drone crashed today in an orchard in Cuhureștii de Jos, Floresti district, on the roof of the guard's house. Following the incident, the police intervened to secure the area.

According to the police, the Technical-Explosive Section team is heading to the scene to examine the drone and determine if it presents any risk.

Authorities evacuated residents in the immediate vicinity and isolated the perimeter until checks are completed.

Currently, no further details are known about the drone's origin or the reasons for its crash.

The police announced that they will provide updated information after the investigations are conducted.

Earlier this morning, the Border Police announced that a Shahed-type drone had flown over the national airspace in southern Moldova. The device was detected by the Ministry of Defense's Aerial Operations Service on the Vinogradovca – Vulcănești direction, after which it headed towards the Romanian border, in the area between Colibași and Vadul lui Isac, subsequently crossing into Romanian airspace.
