The activity was held within the information and awareness campaign titled, Integrity Is Your Choice, 2nd edition, which aims to strengthen academic standards.
In total, about 2,200 students benefited from the training. It is about 4th–6th year students from integrated study programmes and 2nd–4th year students from Bachelor’s programmes taught in Romanian.
The course curriculum included four modules, aiming to develop the competences needed to consolidate a culture of integrity at university level: ethical conduct in teaching and research, prevention and sanctioning of plagiarism, good practices within the academic community, academic integrity and respect for intellectual property, risk areas and behaviors that compromise integrity and legal liability for integrity violations.
Upon completion of the training, students took multiple-choice tests and, depending on the grade got, received certificates of participation confirming that they had completed the training process and assumed the principles of responsible academic conduct. The course was developed under the aegis of the Education and Research Ministry, at the recommendation of the European Commission, in the context of our country’s process of accession to the European community.
