Two more courtyards in the municipality of Chișinău have been rehabilitated under the European Courtyard program. Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Vladimir Bolea visited the completed projects to see the results of the investments.

On 3 Iazului Street, a project worth 2.56 million lei was carried out, which included the construction of a playground, two sports fields, the rehabilitation of alleys and sidewalks, the landscaping of green areas, the installation of urban furniture, and works to protect the foundations of the apartment blocks against water infiltration. The investment targets approximately 180 residents.

On 13–17 Grigore Alexandrescu Street, investments of 5.39 million lei were made for the rehabilitation of the roadway and sidewalks, the construction of two playgrounds and two sports fields, the expansion of green areas, and the installation of urban furniture. About 1,800 residents benefit from these works.

“When we create places where people want to spend time together, the community becomes even closer. Now look around: people feel safer, children have places to play, there are rest areas, gazebos and sports fields, and the conditions around the apartment blocks are changing through rehabilitated alleys, new stairs and new doors. This is what it means to make an investment with care for people,” said Vladimir Bolea.

The European Courtyard program aims to revitalize the courtyards of residential blocks and turn them into modern, functional and people-friendly spaces, contributing to improving the quality of life in the municipality of Chișinău and in other localities across the country. The initiative provides for the modernization of 469 courtyards nationwide, with investments estimated at around 1.95 billion lei.
