Travel alert in Hellenic Republic: possible road traffic disruptions due to farmers' protests
The Moldovan Embassy in Athens informs citizens of the Republic of Moldova who are in, transiting or planning to travel to Greece that the protests by Greek farmers will continue in the coming days, potentially causing road traffic disruptions, blocking national roads and highways, including those connecting with border crossing points in northern Greece.
The embassy urges citizens to follow local authorities' recommendations and use the alternative routes.

Greek farmers took to the streets after losing the EU subsidies. They are demanding urgent financial support from the Greek government, as the recent sheep pox epidemic has led to the culling of about 400,000 animals.
