The military parade in Bucharest, organized on the occasion of December 1, started at 11:00 marking the opening of all activities dedicated to Romania's National Day. Twenty-one cannon salutes were fired and over 2,900 soldiers and specialists, along with military equipment, marched in the Triumphal Arch area of the Romanian capital. Fighter jets did not take off, because of unfriendly weather conditions.

Present at the event were President of Romania, Nicusor Dan, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, Sorin Grindeanu, the leader of the Social Democratic Party, as well as other Romanian officials and representatives of diplomatic corps.
