VIDEO // MPs to become Santa Claus for 101 children with disabilities across country

Members of Parliament will have the opportunity to become Santa Claus for 101 children with severe disabilities across the country. The initiative was proposed by MP Ludmila Adamciuc.

The MP announced that the letters to Santa Claus were written by the children, together with their parents and caregivers and the parliamentarians can choose to fulfill these wishes voluntarily.

“I propose that we turn the desire to give into a common gesture and create a tradition that reaches where support is most needed. 101 children with severe disabilities were invited to write a letter to Santa Claus, and each member of parliament can choose to fulfill it,” said Ludmila Adamciuc.

According to the MP, the initiative will be conducted in partnership with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, which will ensure the delivery of gifts “safely and with respect.” She emphasized that the gesture does not replace legislative responsibilities or public policies needed to support families with children with disabilities.

“This initiative – 101 fulfilled wishes – can be seen as an exercise in responsibility and human solidarity. Before being deputies or party members, we are human, and we were all children at one point. Let's be Santa Claus for these children!” added Ludmila Adamciuc.
