Two-million-euros-worth investment project to be implemented in free economic zone from north Moldova city

Chisinau, 30 May /MOLDPRES/ - The OMP Group Ltd foreign capital enterprise will implement a two-million-euros-worth investment project, providing for the production of wires and electrodes for welding, within the Balti Free Economic Zone (FEZ), sub-zone No 4 from Straseni.

According to the head of the investments attraction department at the Economics Ministry, Vladimir Crivciun, the company, which was selected at a contest, plans to start the production in the second half of 2016, after carrying out works of reconstruction of production areas on the territory of the subzone and endowing the enterprise with specialized equipment.

Following the project’s implementation, 50 new jobs will be created, with a monthly salary of 400 euros, and the overall volume of sales will amount to about 20 million euros annually.

Crivciun also said that 99 per cent of the enterprise’s goods would be exported on the foreign market.
