Moldovan president signs decree appointing prosecutor general

Chisinau, 8 December /MOLDPRES/- President Nicolae Timofti today signed a decree appointing Eduard Harunjen as Prosecutor General for a seven-year-mandate, following a proposal by the Superior Council of Prosecutors, the presidential press service has reported.
In line with the legal provisions, after signing the decree, Harunjen took the oath before the president and members of the Superior Council of Prosecutors.
