Moldovan transports minister to remain under arrest

Chisinau, 5 May /MOLDPRES/ - Judges of the Chisinau-based Court of Appeal today turned down a request by lawyers and maintained the ruling of the first instance court, under which Transports and Roads Infrastructure Minister Iurie Chirinciuc was placed under a 30-day arrest.
According the Court’s decision, Chirinciuc will continue to stay in the Penitentiary No 13 from Chisinau.
Iurie Chirinciuc was detained on 27 April 2017, being suspected of organizing a criminal scheme, in order to get financial means in particularly large amounts.
