Moldovan-Austrian economic programme organized for managers from Moldova

Chisinau, 23 May /MOLDPRES/ - More managers from different companies of Moldova will be training within a programme on enhancing qualification, organized by the Moldovan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) and the Austrian Economic Chamber in May-June 2017. The business people will be advised by international experts, with possibility to carry out probation in Vienna.  

CCI president Sergiu Harea stressed the need to improve the competitiveness of Moldovan goods by access to new sales markets. “The supplies of the national and international market are quite diverse; therefore, the consumer will also choose quality products and services. The participation in the Programme will be used to take over new practices in business, strengthen managerial abilities, establish business partnerships,” Harea said.     

For his part, trainer, expert of the Institute of Economic Development WIFI of Austria Viktor Dedic stressed that CCI of Moldova and the Economic Chamber of Austria had been carried out this programme for over 20 years already, - a period when they followed how the situation in Moldova evolved. “A state is strong through its economy; therefore, I am happy of the fact that you are full of energy and want to change the things. There are branches of Moldova’s economy which have made progress; yet, I think that it is room for better, both in the industrial sector and in the one of providing services,” the expert said.      

The agenda of courses sees sessions dealing with the staff management, strategic planning, risk management and conflict management, business communication. Similar trainings take place in Tiraspol, CCI sources have told MOLDPRES.  

After the intensive courses are over and tests are taken, on 2-6 October 2017, the participants from both banks of Dniester will have possibility o make probation in Vienna. In the Austrian capital, the Moldovan entrepreneurs will participate in a business forum and will visit enterprises, and the Economic Chamber of Austria will provide them with assistance to identify potential business partners.     

The project initiated by the two chambers fits into the Support to Confidence Building Measures Programme, financed by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme. The programme’s goal is to contribute to consolidating trust between the residents from both banks of Dniester through the involvement of representatives of local authorities, business environment and civil society in joint projects on developing business and local communities.
