Moldovan deputy foreign minister has meeting with UN-World Bank joint delegation

Chisinau, 20 July /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Lilian Darii today had a meeting with a joint team of the United Nations and World Bank, on a visit to Moldova, to discuss subjects related to the adaptation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development to the country’s realities and their inclusion in national policies documents.  

According to the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service, the participants in the discussion tackled more aspects of common interest, including measures scheduled by Moldova’s authorities to cover the achievement of the priority targets by the competent institutions from Moldova and their inclusion into the strategic documents of development. The way of reporting on implementation, at certain stages, of the objectives and the synergy between the Sustainable Development Goals and the process of implementation of the Association Agreement with the European Union represented subjects of supplementing and discussion.  

Also, the sides agreed on the importance that all interested actors, including on behalf of the civil society, mobilize in the correct reporting and continuous monitoring of the process of implementing the goals defined as absolute priority, in order to remove negative phenomena dealing with the economic and financial crisis, the entire region is going through, as well as for the economic growth, promotion of trade, enhancing residents’ access to the basic services.
