First international school in Moldova inaugurated in Chisinau

Chisinau, 22 August /MOLDPRES/ – The first international Heritage school, founded in Moldova, was officially inaugurated in Chisinau today. Students will study according to a mixed national and international curriculum, which includes all the recommendations of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, alongside innovative International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and Cambridge International Education (CIE).

The event was attended by Minister of Education, Culture and Research, Monica Babuc, Turkey's Ambassador to Moldova, Hulusi Kılıç, head of TAU Gagauz-Yeri, Irina Vlah, Director of the International Heritage School, Bogdanka Adamu, representative of Fieldwork Education Foundation in Great Britain, Sandra Jones, who created one of the two Heritage study programmes, co-founders of the institution, Natalia Cecetova, Sihan Bora and others.

In her speech, the Minister of Culture, Education and Research, Monica Babuc, welcomed the creation of this modern, well-equipped institution, which comes with a new vision of education.

In this context, the director of the International Heritage School, Bogdanka Adamu, mentioned that there would be teachers from Moldova and abroad, with international experience in the field of education, so that to facilitate a qualitative leap in the pre-university education in the Republic of Moldova. After finishing the high school, the pupils will enroll for both baccalaureate and international certification examinations in Cambridge, obtaining a national and international diploma.

At her turn, Sandra Jones, the representative of the UK Fieldwork Education Foundation, emphasized that Heritage has aimed to raise personal integrity, create a safe and stimulating learning environment where all pupils to be treated with respect.

According to the cited source, besides the international quality studies, the pupils are to benefit from a perfectly comfortable infrastructure, modern facilities and a complex extracurricular programme that meets the highest educational requirements of the XXIst century. However, there will be available: language clubs, a volunteer club, volleyball, basketball, football and other sports, drama, music or school music, dance, vocal and choral interpretation, photographic art, LEGO Education, STEM education, chess, gymnastics and many other extracurricular activities at Heritage school.

Heritage offers a complete cycle of studies, and for the first year of activity, which begins on 01 September 2017, it continues to enroll pupils in forms I – VII. The institution has a capacity of over 450 pupils.
