About 600 owners of vehicles from left bank of Dniester ask for neutral registration plates

Chisinau, 24 October /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 584 vehicles and five motorcycles have been registered at those two offices of the Public Services Agency (ASP), opened on the left bank of Dniester two months ago, with 760 people served. The data was unveiled by an ASP representative, Oleg Rotaru, at a today’s meeting of the parliament’s commission for national security, defence and public order.
According to Rotaru, the applicants for registration plates are served following the online programming. Presently, more than 4,000 persons are already scheduled at the aforementioned two offices.
Starting from 1 September 2018, as a result of the agreements reached within the dialogue of negotiations between Chisinau and Tiraspol, two offices of registration of transport means from the Transnistrian region were opened in Tiraspol and Rabnita. At these offices, owners of vehicles from the Transnistrian region can ask for neutral plates in order to be allowed to international traffic. So far, the vehicles registered by the Tiraspol unrecognized authorities have been able to move, as an exception, only in Ukraine and Russia.
