Moldovan parliament gives start to parliamentary openness week

Chisinau, 16 September /MOLDPRES/ - The legislative body has informed that it would start the parliamentary openness week as of 19 September. Thus, during the week, citizens are expected in parliament for a varied schedule of activities.

On 19, 20 and 21 September, information visits and guided tours to parliament will be held. MPs will discuss with visitors and will present their working offices. Children, young people and adults from various regions of Moldova, as well as refugees from Ukraine are expected at the parliament. The access to the institution’s building will be made based on identity acts and the visits will be scheduled by accessing the website www.vizite.parlament.md.    

Also on next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, vehicles from former times, used for the carriage of high-ranking officials, will be exhibited on the parliament’s square. Visitors will be able to admire also an exhibition of photos made by young people, titled, Partnership and solidarity between generations.  

A screening of movies made at the Telefilm-Chisinau studio will take place on 19-21 September. The screenings will be held each evening at 19:00.  

On 21 September, a painting workshop titled, The Peace Colours, occasioned by the International Day of Peace, will take place. Attending the event will be fine artist Valeria Barbas. Children from Moldova and Ukraine will be invited to reproduce in colours how the peace looks on canvas and asphalt.    

The parliamentary openness day is held annually in September, in the context of the International Day of Democracy, established by the United Nations on 15 September 2007.
