Moldovan PM meets heads of districts

Chisinau, 15 January /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet’s priorities in the context of the opening of the negotiations with the European Union, the opportunities of the programmes of cross-border cooperation and the efficient use of public money today were discussed by Prime Minister Dorin Recean with the heads of districts and the heads of the territorial offices of the State Chancellery, at a meeting held at the government’s headquarters, the government’s communication department has reported.      

The PM urged the local public authorities’ representatives to develop the capacities of writing projects and create teams in charge of their elaboration in districts. Also, Prime Minister Dorin Recean stressed the importance of the projects’ sustainability, in order to yield results with long-term impact for the people from settlements.   

„Our common goal is to enhance the citizens’ welfare. In this respect, it is important that we coordinate the agendas of the central and local public authorities, prioritize the people’s needs and make investments which develop our capacity to serve them,’’ PM Recean noted.    

The participants in the meeting unveiled opportunities of attracting investments through the light of cross-border projects, the success stories and the aspects as to the conditions of eligibility.

Moldova is eligible to participate in three programmes co-financed by EU: Romania-Moldova 2021-2027 Interreg NEXT Programme; the Black Sea Basin 2021-2027 Interreg NEXT Programme and the Interreg Danube Region Programme 2021-2027.
