Moldovan deputy PM for European integration to pay visit to Brussels

Chisinau, 6 February /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov will pay a working visit to Brussels on 7 February.

Cristina Gherasimov will discuss with European officials the steps due to be undertaken in the process of negotiations and the importance of starting the first stage of the negotiations – assessing the degree of compliance of the national legislation with the European standards.

The official will also meet the director general of the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations, Gert-Jan Koopman, and will participate in a meeting with the members of the Moldova-EU club, made up of active Moldovan citizens who live in Brussels.

This is the first visit abroad by Cristina Gherasimov after she was sworn in the office of deputy prime minister for European integration.
