Moldovan president, representatives of sports federations discuss referendum on Moldova's European integration way

Chisinau, 7 February /MOLDPRES/ - The public consultations on the subject of referendum concerning Moldova’s accession to the European Union, initiated by the head of state, continued today as well. Representatives of sports organizations from Moldova were invited to the table of discussions, the presidential press service has reported.

President Maia Sandu stressed that the Moldovan sportspeople had managed to achieve performances at international competitions, thus contributing to the promotion of the country’s image. She said that now the time was ripe for everybody to contribute to Moldova’s development, through active civic involvement.

The series of consultations will continue in the next weeks too. The referendum on Moldova’s accession to the European Union will be organized till the end of the 2024 year.
