Church „Adormirea Maicii Domnului” of Căuşeni to be reopened to visitors

Chisinau, 9 Feb. /MOLDPRES/- After a restoration period, the Church „Adormirea Maicii Domnului” of Căuşeni, part of the National Art Museum of Moldova will be reopened to visitors, Andrei Chistol, state secretary of the Ministry of Culture announced today.
The US Embassy in Chisinau provided a total budget of approximately 1.1 million dollars through the US Government Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation for the restoration of the church.
The last amount, 324 thousand dollars, allocated by the Government of the Republic of Moldova for this architectural monument of national importance was for infrastructure and land development works.
