Repeated voting for election of mayor takes place in commune from Chisinau municipality

Chisinau, 11 February /MOLDPRES/ - The repeated voting for the election of the mayor today takes place in the Bubuieci commune, Chisinau municipality. All those four polling sections were opened at 07:00. The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has informed that the voting process was held as normal.

As many as 7,594 voters are expected to give their ballots. A number of 112 electors exercised their right to vote till 09:00, which accounts for 1.28 per cent of the voters registered in the electoral lists.

The voters who are not able to move to the polling station can ask for the mobile ballot box at home till 14:00. The application is to be accompanied by a medical certificate.

CEC noted that, at the repeated voting, the elections were regarded as valid no matter the number of voters who participated in the ballot.

The voting will end at 21:00.
