Chisinau, Feb. 12 /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi had a meeting with EU ambassadors accredited to Chisinau. They approached foreign policy priorities and current regional and international issues, the MAE's press service has reported.

The dialogue on Moldova's accession to the EU will remain a major priority of Moldovan diplomacy. Popșoi reported on the process of sharing competences between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the European Integration Office. The Moldovan official said we are determined to form an effective team to advance our goals both externally and internally.

"I will focus on strengthening an active, present and visible diplomacy. Traditional bilateral partnerships will be a landmark in external cooperation, complemented by the consolidation of dialogue with states in geographical areas of interest, but where the Republic of Moldova does not have a sufficient presence.

I thanked the ambassadors for the support offered to the Republic of Moldova in difficult moments, as well as the contribution of the states they represent to the initiation of negotiations for our country's accession to the European Union", Popșoi said.
