Moldovan weightlifter won two medals at European Championships

Chisinau, February 18 /MOLDPRES/- Moldovan weightlifter Marin Robu won two medals at the European Championships held in Sofia, Bulgaria.
He recorded the result of 171 kg and ranked second, winning the silver medal, and in the throw event he lifted 207 kg and ranked fourth. With the result of 378 kg, Marin Robu placed 3rd in the general ranking of the weight category up to 89 kg, obtaining the bronze medal.
Marin Robu also has the title of U-23 European champion, as well as a silver medal, won at the world championships for seniors.
The European Weightlifting Championship is the penultimate tournament for qualifying for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
