Moldovan president, representatives of business environment discuss referendum on Moldova's accession to European Union

Chisinau, 19 February /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today met representatives of more business associations from Moldova, with whom she discussed the referendum on the country’s accession to the European Union.    

The head of state said that the living standards of all citizens depended also on Moldova’s economic development and a strong economy and a competitive business environment can be built only in the European Union. At the same time, the Moldovan president stressed the importance of a correct communication on EU in each community, including in the professional and business environments. This will contribute to the consolidation of the support of the entire society for the European integration project.     

The consultation on the subject of the referendum will continue also in the next weeks and the plebiscite might be organized in the autumn of the 2024 year.
