Photos by two Moldovan journalists displayed at Presidency's headquarters, to commemorate two years of war in Ukraine

Chisinau, 20 February /MOLDPRES/ - The doors of the Presidency open for the people willing to visit an exhibition of photos made by journalists Viorica Tataru and Andrei Captarenco, who went on traces of the war in Ukraine. President Maia Sandu has discussed with the journalists documentarists about their experience, the presidential press service reported.      

„In several days, two years of the beginning of the war in Ukraine are marked. For almost two years, Russia has been daily bombarding the Ukrainian settlements, bringing death to the homes of peaceful and innocent people,’’ the head of state said.  

In her message, the Moldovan president noted that journalists Viorica Tataru and Andrei Captarenco, on their road, had found realities hard to imagine for our century, but which can be visualized at the exhibition of photos opened on the ground floor of the Presidency.   

The exhibition is a sign of gratitude to the heroic resistance of Ukraine and can be visited till 3 March, starting from Monday till Friday, during 17:00-19:00 and on Saturday and Sunday – during 12-00-15:00. 

„I thank also journalists Viorica Tataru and Andrei Captarenco, for the fact that they had the courage to go on the spot and through their work, to contribute to the coverage of the truth about the atrocities of the war in Ukraine,’’ Maia Sandu said.
