Moldovan government approves ratification of Agreement between Moldova and Latvia in social security sector

Chisinau, 21 February /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today approved a draft law for the ratification of the Agreement between Moldova and Latvia in the social security sector, signed in Brussels on 11 December 2023.

After the agreement’s entrance into force, the insured people will be able to benefit from pension, no matter the place where they live. At the same time, each state will enforce the national legislation in the field, with the pension transferred monthly to the beneficiary on the territory of the state where he/she lives.

Moldova signed international agreements in the social security sector, based on proportionality principles, with 17 states. It is about Romania, Portugal, Bulgaria, Luxembourg, Austria, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Belgium, Lithuania, Germany, Turkey, Belarus, Greece, Italy and Spain.
