Moldovan head of state meets former president of Switzerland

Chisinau, 21 February /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today had a meeting with the former president of the Swiss Confederation, Alain Berset, who is in Chisinau, as part of visits to the region, the presidential press service has reported.
Alain Berset is a good friend of Moldova and during his presidential mandate, the relation between Moldova and Switzerland considerably deepened.
In discussions, the interlocutors reaffirmed the common commitments for the democracy, human rights and the rule of law state, as well as for the continuous efforts to reestablish the just and sustainable peace in Europe.
