PM says Moldova wants support for development to be felt by citizens through each project implemented

Chisinau, 21 February /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet’s goals for the next period and the priorities of foreign assistance for the reforms’ implementation and advancement on the European agenda today were unveiled at a meeting of Moldova’s development partners, the government’s communication department has reported.       

Prime Minister Dorin Recean appreciated the support provided to Moldova for the development of the key fields and improvement of the people’s living standards. He emphasized that the authorities’ efforts were focused, in continuation, on the ensuring of peace and security, reforming the justice and fighting against corruption, economic growth and infrastructure’s modernization.  

„We want the support for development to be felt by the citizens through each project implemented. At the same time, our irreversible goal is the accession to the European Union – a country project,’’ PM Dorin Recean said.   

For his part, Government’s Secretary General Artur Mija referred to those 20 priorities of the government, included in the We Edify European Moldova National Plan, as well as to the National Development Plan 2024-2026. The head of the State Chancellery stressed the importance of planning the costs and resources, predictability and consolidation of the efforts to build resilient institutions which will yield the results expected by the citizens and the business environment.     

Also, the participants in the event presented the National Plan on Accession to the European Union 2024-2027, the sectoral needs of foreign assistance and the mapping of the support from which Moldova already benefits. At the same time, they unveiled the vision as to the mechanism of coordination of the foreign assistance, as well as the new instruments for monitoring the efficient implementation of the projects and the management of the relations with the foreign partners.
