Leadership of Moldova's Medical University discusses extension of stomatological syllabi at visit to United States

Chisinau, 27 February /MOLDPRE/ - Rector of the Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (USMF) Emil Ceban and the dean of the Stomatology Faculty, Oleg Solomon, have paid a working visit to the California state, United States. The visit included meetings with more congressmen, in order to present the achievements of the last five years and to discuss possibilities of extension of the accreditation of the Stomatology syllabi at the university and post-graduate levels (International Dental Program) by the Dental Board of California.  

The first meetings took place in the Sacramento city. At the State Assembly of the legislative body, held at the headquarters of the State Capitol, Rector Emil Ceban unveiled information on USMF Nicolae Testemitanu, especially the Stomatology Faculty and the series of graduates from the Stomatology syllabus of higher integrated education and the education of the International Dental Program.      

Also, the USMF leadership had meetings with leaders of the Senate from California. Emil Ceban thanked for the support provided in the process of international accreditation of the Stomatology Faculty and awarded them certificates of appreciation on behalf of the University. Subsequently, the delegation had a meeting with representatives of the Loma Linda University from the Redlands city.    

The visit’s agenda included also the participation in the Ceremony of the sixth series of graduates of the International Dental Program at the Stomatology Faculty of the Nicolae Testemitanu USMF. At the event, Emil Ceban handed them the diplomas and congratulated the young specialists who had got the degree to profess stomatology in California.  

For his part, Rector Emil Ceban received a certificate of acknowledgement on behalf of the Senate of the California state for the dedication for students, faculty and the administration of the University.   

During 2016-2023, 91 people graduated the syllabus of Stomatology integrated university education. During 2019-2023, 193 physicians dentists finished the post-graduate education at the International Dental Program, who will profess in the California state.
