Almost 200 drawings made by children exhibited at Moldovan parliament's headquarters during one month

Chisinau, 27 February /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament during February has hosted an exhibition of drawings titled, Peace formula in art of children from Ukraine and of the world. The exhibition of drawings was organized, in order to commemorate two years since the unleashing of Russia’s war in Ukraine and brought together almost 200 drawings made by children from diverse art schools and centres for refugees from Moldova.      

At the event of the exhibition’s opening, the parliament’s secretary general, Tamara Gheorghita, offered thanks to the children and teachers from those ten education institutions of Moldova participating in the contest and thanked them for their talent and involvement. ‘’I offer you sincere thanks for the participation in this exhibition, which had a strong impact on the guests of the country and from abroad, who came to the parliament, providing a clear-cut perspective of the ideal of peace of the children marked by the realities of war. I express gratitude for the partnership established, as well as for your continuous effort of raising the society’s awareness through civic education and through art,’’ Gheorghita said.    

Olesea Shevchenko, the wife of Ambassador of Ukraine to Moldova, Marko Shevchenko, addressed a message of thanks as well. ‘’This is an international project, the goal of which is to unite the best friends of Ukraine. The Embassy of Ukraine expresses thanks to each of you, especially to the children and teachers who contributed to the carrying out of this project. Moldova is a great country,’’ Shevchenko said.   

In the end, presents and letters of thanks were offered to the authors and organizers of the exhibition.  

The exhibition dedicated to peace started on 1 February 2024 and was carried out within the international project, Peace formula in art of children from Ukraine and of the world. The project was initiated by the charity foundation, Lviv Children’s Gallery from Ukraine with the support of the community, The wives of Ukrainian diplomats, and the Embassy of Ukraine in Moldova.
