Moldovan wines won record number of medals at Mundus Vini Spring Tasting 2024 contest

Chisinau, March 1 /MOLDPRES/- Moldova has set a record number of medals for the South-East Europe region in wine category. In total, the country won 96 medals at one of the most prestigious wine competitions in the world - Mundus Vini Spring Tasting 2024.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, this performance ranks the Republic of Moldova first in Southeast Europe.

Our winemakers won three Grand Gold, 56 Gold and 37 Silver medals.

Moldova outperformed other countries known for their wines, such as Georgia, Romania and North Macedonia.

The Republic of Moldova is among the top 20 wine producing countries. The wine industry is one of the key branches of our country's economy. Moldovan wines are imported by over 70 countries from all over the world.
