Over 30% of agricultural subsidy fund used in first two months of year

Chisinau, 1 March /MOLDPRES/- In the first two months of this year, more than 30% of the total National Fund for Agriculture and Rural Development (FNDAMR), amounting to 1.6 billion lei (80 million euros) has been used.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, in the first month of the year, the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture disbursed 252 million lei to farmers' accounts, and in February another 269 million lei.

Thus, in February, 96.83 million lei were disbursed in post-investment subsidies; 2.3 million lei - advance subsidies to improve living and working standards in rural areas; 2.16 million lei - for the implementation of the LEADER Programme; 164.24 million lei - for applications for complementary subsidies; 3.14 million lei - direct payments in the livestock sector and 0.32 million lei for the development of Start-up projects.

For 2024, the National Fund for Agriculture and Rural Development amounts to 1.6 billion lei.
